Kung Fu Tea, Carrollton, TX, U.S. (July 4th 2022)

We got some pretty great drinks to beat the Texan heat today, such as the Kirby’s Fruity Flurry, a limited time collaboration (so you better hurry UP) with Nintendo to promote the recently released Kirby and the Forgotten Land game on the Switch (it’s pretty fun y’all) which tastes as sweet as it sounds (I sound crazy saying this, but it just tastes cute…), then the Strawberry Lemonade and the Yogurt Green Tea (which is made with Yakult!!), alongside with a bag of Dragon Pop Salted Eggs Popcorn which made for an interesting snack!

With plenty of locations in the States, Kung Fu Tea is always there for your boba cravings!

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Addison, TX, U.S. (July 8th 2022)

Freshly made waffle cones and bowls (when I mean fresh, I mean like literally just out of the waffle maker fresh), an attractive and trendy aesthetic, and a wonderful sweet aroma that is almost borderline intoxicating that greets you as soon as you step in the store, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is one of the places to be when you’re craving some good ice cream!

Speaking of ice cream, I had the tart, candy-like Watermelon Taffy which is definitely a fun flavor to try for the summer, and the Brambleberry Crisp which was reminiscent of a lovely slice of pie with the jam and the crumble, and both were a nice little afternoon treat!

The Alamo Eggcited Tex-Mex Restaurant, Kindsbach, Germany (October 10th 2022)

We made a quick stop at the Alamo Eggcited Tex-Mex Restaurant (quite a mouthful of a name) for a light brunch the other day, and I had ordered the popular (or at least within my friend group) Breakfast Burrito, which lets you choose your preferred meat, cheese, and salsa so you can really make it your own. I had mine with chorizo, pepper jack, and obviously, the hottest salsa which made for a fantastic combination! Simple yet also flavorful and filling, I had to stop myself from ordering another one!

Bread 41, Dublin, Ireland (November 27th 2022)

For a little pick-me-up and also as sort of a way to celebrate our arrival to Dublin, we got the scrumptiously divine Cinnamon Scroll, which had a lovely icing with cream cheese (or so I think) and orange zest sprinkled on top, and the deliciously savory Chicken Sandwich (I’m not actually sure about the exact name) which had a smooth Kimchi and mayonnaise-like sauce, juicy chicken, and lettuce to give that fresh crunch.

Both items were great and I definitely recommend that you try them!

Sweethouse Bubble Tea, Dublin, Ireland (November 27th 2022)

In need for a refreshment after our little shopping spree at the Jervis Shopping Centre, we stopped at Sweethouse Bubble Tea and I got myself the HK Milk Tea which was smooth, sweet, and milky, and the chewy texture of the tapioca that occasionally popped up in between sips was delightful as always!

Lemon Jelly Café, Dublin, Ireland (November 29th 2022)

A sweet start to one’s day is always the best way to go, which is why I had ordered the delicious Luscious Lemon crepe, which had a rich and refreshingly zesty taste due to the butter and the lemon juice, while also having a soothing cup of the Turmeric & Coconut Latte, with the heat of the spice bringing instant warmth and lovely flavor, and the coconut taste following right after to provide a creamy and smooth finish. All in all, it was certainly fantastic and I’d definitely come back here again!

Pocha Korean Street Food, Dublin, Ireland (December 1st 2022)

On our visit we had ordered the crispy Potato Corn Dog, which had strings of cheese oozing out with every bite and I liked how the mustard had a pretty strong taste to it. It was absolutely delicious and I remember me and my friend looking at each other with our eyes wide open…
No wonder this particular street food is so popular!
We also had the Tuna Rice Ball, which was pretty simple and had a lovely salty flavor. It certainly made for a great quick snack!

Tula Mexican Grill, Dublin, Ireland (December 1st 2022)

Conveniently located in the famous Temple Bar street, Tula Mexican Grill is the place to go after you had a couple of drinks and the random hunger begins to kick in! My burrito combination included chicken, white rice, black beans, corn, tomatillo red salsa (which is the spiciest one available of course), sour cream, and the Irish Monterey-Jack cheese, and everything worked so well with one another, not only because of the delicious flavors but also from the fresh ingredients! Tula is definitely a place to try when you’re hungry and are in the mood for some filling and tasty grub!

The Nook, Bushmills, Northern Ireland (December 5th 2022)

After a nice stroll and taking in the magnificent views of the Giant’s Causeway, we took a well-needed lunch break at the Nook, with an order of deliciously crisp fish and chips that was enhanced with squeezed lemon juice, malt vinegar, a good lathering of tartar sauce, and the delectable mushy peas.

We washed down the greasiness with a glass of refreshing Kopparberg Mixed Berry cider, and for dessert we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was the star of the show! It was love at first bite, and the sweet, rich, and buttery goodness was just irresistible!!

(Note: To this VERY day (June 14th 2024), we still rave about the Sticky Toffee Pudding, so you know that it was THAT good!)

Bonus: Take in the magnificent view of the Giant’s Causeway with me!

Mad Egg, Dublin, Ireland (December 6th 2022)

I had tried their new Nashville Hot alongside the salty and savory Chicken Salted Fries and a can of their Mad Yoke Pale Ale, which was made in collaboration with the HOPE craft brewery to specifically pair well with their chicken recipe.

The Nashville Hot was crisp yet soft and juicy, and the spicy sauce (which actually had a decent heat to it!) had a depth to the flavor beyond just being hot and was just splendid. I would even dare say this was one of the best chicken sandwiches that I’ve had the pleasure to try thus far!
